Black/Greige Yin Yang Bucket Hat by Never Ending Weekend

$69.00 CAD

Made from vintage denim and linen, this bucket hat by Never Ending Weekend is a cool and functional work of art.

The hat is available in two sizes; s/m and m/l. Either size works on most adult heads. The smaller size has a bit of a shallower brim, a shallower bucket and a smaller circumference. The larger size can work on a smaller head with a looser fit and the smaller size can work on a larger head with a snugger fit. They're also denim and like a good pair of jeans, they'll stretch and mold to your head if it feels a bit snug. I've left the raw edges to fray with wear rather than pre-fraying. I want you to wear your hat in yourself, for the edges to fray with adventures and all that you throw at it.

S/M: PRE-ORDER (Please allow 1 week) approx 58cm in circumference and 8cm in height

M/L: PRE-ORDER (Please allow 1 week) approx 60cm in circumference and 10cm in height

In Ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world. Yin is the receptive and Yang the active principle, seen in all forms of change and difference such as the annual cycle (winter and summer), the landscape (north-facing shade and south-facing brightness), male energy vs. female energy and so on. According to this philosophy, everything has both yin and yang aspects (for instance, shadow cannot exist without light). The yin yang shows a balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section. This symbol, at this time especially, resonates so much with many of us, myself included. And so here it is, shown throughout my most recent works.
